Scott Bambrick Forthside Boxing Clubs President & Coach

Scott is the nephew of commonwealth, European and world medalist John Bambrick. Scott has been involved in boxing for the past 22 years as youth boxer. Army Boxer and Coach. He boxed as a youth for the Transport Club in Edinburgh before joining the Army at 16 years old, he then served 8.5 years in The 1st Bn of The Royal Scots where he won the Regimental Boxing Championships and gained coaching badges.

On leaving the army Scott went to university in the fighting city of Sheffield where he gained an Hons Degree in Business.

On returning to Edinburgh Scott joined the Famous SPARTA Boxing Club where he meet Alan Moran who was a coach at Sparta. Soon they had joined forces and set about building a team and creating Sparta first snr Scottish Boxing Champion in Seven years.

Scott along with Alan created a team that consisted of Mike Reid, Thomas Moran, Alan Moran Jnr, Angus Will, Fundo Mhura, Andrew White Paul and David Appleby, Ross Tyres. This team famously went to the Bolton Box Cup and won the largest medal hall at the compition at that time by a scottish club. They also coached Fundo Mhura in his first 25 bouts and during this time and he became the first Sparta Boxer to win a snr championships in 8 years.

In the summer of 2006 Scott resigned from his position at Sparta and decided along with Alan to set up a Amature Boxing Club. With the help of Tom Scott, Tony Reid and David Blackburn the set about creating Forthside Boxing Club.
